Great start to camp today as New Orleans Zephyrs hitting coach Damon Minor gives our 50 campers a talk about the advantage of hitters holding the bat in their fingers vs. in their hands to create whip. After working hard in seven stations, our campers had fun playing games and cooled off in the pool.

Day #3 and #4 of Summer Camp Session 1 at Zephyr Field consisted of six stations including rocket relays/run downs, pitcher fielding practice, catching work, bullpens and two offensive stations. We added in dodgeball for their afternoon fun and today Z’s broadcaster Tim Grubbs gave our campers a behind the scenes tour of the press box and broadcast booth.

Last day of Summer Camp Session 1 at Zephyr Field started with a home run derby, throwing competition and hitting competition between our campers. A Z’s locker room tour by head clubhouse manager Brett Herbert followed with pizza from Papa John’s Pizza and an arcade experience fromLet’s Bounce LLC to round out the day. Our campers and staff did a great job as always!
